We found out that Riley does not like knuckle skin, or any body parts, on his pizza. I was thinking about this as I made pizza for us this Sunday eve. I was grating some smoked Baby Swiss, carefully, and I thought of Riley's comments on pizza. What do you like on your pizza? Daughter likes just cheese and pepperoni. Hubby and I like all kinds of different things: beef/onion veggies of all types mushroom mushroom with smoked cheese (just a hint of the smoked cheese on top of the regular pizza cheese) What is one of the most unusual pizzas you've ever had? Smoked whitefish (Northern Minnesoooota) |

Green pepper, olives, and onion. Or, sun-dried tomatoes. Some really big, juicy sun-dried tomatoes. I had a huge slice of pizza in NYC one time with this. THE BEST EVAH. I've never had any unusual toppings. I'm usually pretty cautious with my foods.

We designed a shrimp pizza on our honeymoon and it was great. We've gotten other places to make it from time to time, and it always turns out great. I can;t figure out why no one offers it regularly. |

Sounds like my kind of pizza.I found this Italian deli that has the best sundried tomatoes; really fresh and juicy. I always buy a bag of them when I want to make pizza. I love sundried tomatoes on my pizza. And some torn fresh basil, olives, onion, green pepper and some hot peppers....anything from that list. I don't really like meat on my pizza. Not too much cheese, and really really thin crispy crust. Oh yum. Edited by sue, Jan 3 2010, 05:37 PM.

+1 (plus a couple more "reallys" to go with "thin crispy crust" Ever tried fresh mozzarella to go with that fresh basil? |

No, I never have, but I should. I don't usually use mozzarella at all, and wonder if I'm missing something with a really good product. I usually use a bit of feta, and some aged white cheddar on my pizza. Oh, and a bottle of red wine. |

Anything and everything. Even things that would normally elicit gagging are rendered edible atop a cheese- and tomato sauce-covered thin-crust pizza. I'm reminded of the night a few buddies and I were ordering pizza, taking turns calling out the extra toppings we wanted. Apparently we went overboard, because the lady on the phone warned that the bottom of the pizza would probably be burnt after the 12+ toppings were cooked. |
