After a few weeks with a Keurig pod coffee maker I have found true love with a Nespresso machine. The Keurig pods are big. I think the pod makers are adding robusta coffee into the arabica. Tried several different flavors. The coffee left me jittery. The flavor was not very good. Then I got a Nespresso Citiz. Of the sample pods that came with it I prefer the Arpeggio. The flavor and aroma is great. It has no robusta. Some of the pods offered have robusta if you like that. My brother's step daughter mentioned that she wanted a Keurig. Sent mine to her. Pod makers are not messy. Left my espresso machine in Utah. Glad to leave that mess behind. |

How much are the Nespresso machines, Chas? I'll be moving into an apartment in Michigan during the work week and will have to collect little luxuries. |

Depends on the kind of coffee you put in the Keurig, I think. I use Tully's French roast pods in the Keurig. Having had Tully's French roast, right where it's roasted, this isn't as good ... but it's as close an approximation as you're going to get at home. Bonus on the Tully's French roast pods ... they are sold through Costco, which is cheaper, and free delivery! |

I have the Citiz with milk frother. Would not get the frother if I ordered again. You can check prices at Nespresso.com. There are several models. Prices range from under $200 to around $600. Amazon has lower prices, but delivery can be for weeks. http://www.amazon.com/Nespresso-D90-S1-Single-Serve-Espresso/dp/B000AE57V8/ref=sr_1_23?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1262448798&sr=8-23 Tried Tully's, prefer the Nespresso with Arpeggio pods. |

I got the Citiz because reviewers mentioned that it is the most quiet. It is not silent by any means. Don't have info about the others. |

Why would you not get the frother if you were buying again? Because it doesn't work well, or just because you've found you don't use it? I really like what I'm reading about this machine, and the look of it. It's small, and I can actually imagine having it in my kitchen. Very cool website! Cool. Maybe I'll go over to their retail "boutique" in san francisco today to check it out. |

Have never used the frother. I put a very small bit of milk in a capuccino cup. Heat it in the microwave. Then hit the lungo button. This makes a nice foam on top. |

I'm off the hook. Looks like the apartment I will likely get has a coffee maker AND an espresso machine. |
