I Owe It All To John D'Oh
|
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/football/nfl/12/03/vikings.ap/index.html The speed limit was 55. One little measly more MPH, and he would have been double limit. In some places, double limit means a suspended license. I bet the cop gave him 109 so that his license wouldn't be suspended. |
| It would be unwise to underestimate what large groups of ill-informed people acting together can achieve. -- John D'Oh, January 14, 2010. | |

I have had cops do the same for me by citing me for 9 mph over. The points on your license and other things kick in at 10. Of course, I wasn't doing anything near double over. |

109? ![]() That's incredible. I bow to thee. Which model can do that? Best I've ever done is just over 70 MPG. |

But if it was in a school zone, that would truly be worthy of scorn.

Identifying narcissists isn't difficult. Just look for the person who is constantly fishing for compliments and admiration while breaking down over even the slightest bit of criticism. We have the freedom to choose our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. | |

Hey, I'll bet my MPG at 109 wasn't too bad .... in sixth gear. The engine fairly purred.

Cheers

I get 24mph over all the time. (ok, like once every two years). I don't care about points because I don't have car insurance. But the cops don't know that, they're just being nice since I treat them with respect. Oh, and I've done 150 (240kmh), that was in an Alpha Romeo convertible 2 seater on the autobahn. Fastest in the US (sustained) was 135. That was in a '76 Impala with a 454 4 barrel. I was 17. |
| In my defense, I was left unsupervised. | |

+1 The only time I've ever been pulled over, I was doing 73 in a 50. The cop wrote the ticket as 60 in a 50, and the ticket was $40 with no points, instead of $100+ with 3 points. This was over 2 years ago, I wonder if it's still on my record... |

ZOOOOOM!
|
My highest total speed's only been a little over 110. My highest all-time possible ticket was triple over; I've gone 78 in a 25. |
| I cite irreconcilable differences. | |

The fastest I've driven is 145 km/h. Over 150 km/h is up to a $10000 fine, with a one year licence suspension, and up to 6 months in jail. No way in hell I'm risking that. |

Oh good. The guy I'm playing in fantasy football this week has AP. Hopefully this messes with his performance. (Yes I have Brett Favre as my QB....so good!) |
