I am so adjective that I verb nouns!
That crossed my mind, but as long as the food was good and the wind flowed I wouldn't mind being /ignored. :lol2:

And the wind flowed? I think that's a safe bet.

A Freudian slip if ever I saw one.

I find his use here, of the word "calibrate," to be doubleplusungood
My thoughts exactly. That leaves him off the hook, saying that he just could have found more diplomatic words to couch the same sentiment in. The word he needed wasn't "calibrate," but "retract," plus "apologize."

It was actually worse than that. At the end he made what seemed to me a very snide remark about how Crowley wishes all the reporters would get off his lawn. It seemed to me at best pointless, but more likely petulant. Kind of like 'hey, all you honkies, I have to say something somehow related to I'm sorry .. really.. but all you black folks know I was right all along'.
