They are great. It sure is better the just scraping them. I use to sell Brian Unis's father piano. So He comes by his love of old pianos naturally.

I've seen the piano desk idea before, and love it. I've often thought a beautiful old piano could be made into a stand for an aquarium. I'd like that in my house.

Square grands work the best for making desks.

As far as using the cabinets, but installing digitals, I've always liked that idea. Particularly with grands. Regular digital grands always look so fake to me. Almost like Shroder's piano from Peanuts.

It says board feet. That's linear. You couldn't come up with 200 board feet of hardwood out of 20 old uprights.
