My mother had a 1960 Buick LeSabre - very similar to the 1959 in the link you posted - but in white. I remember riding in the back seat (I was 10) on the way to Toronto to visit my aunt and uncle. It rode like a ship on the ocean. No seatbelts, of course. |

Hmmm. Some of those cars I remember from first hand experience! I saw that 1960 Comet. I remember our 1961 version. That 57 Chevy is a thing of beauty, as was the 53 Studebaker. And of course the 64 Mustang still turns heads. Many of the others, I could leave. Exaggerated features (like gigantic tail fins) don't turn me on. There certainly was a big design shift between 1950 and 1955. |
