I’m so excited!

In 24 hours I’m heading to Wisconsin to the Irish Wolfhound fun match in Racine! Last night I loaded my mp3 files into the Garmin and verified that the Bluetooth works. Yep, it does. I do need to run to Best Buy for a memory card, though. There was only enough room for about 4 albums in the gps. I think I’ll need more music than that. This morning on the way to work I verified that the mp3s play through the radio AND the gps can give directions simultaneously. Yep, works great.

Now I just have to throw some things in an overnight bag, pack my laptop, make sure my homework is in the car, grab a lawn chair, fill megabowls with catfood and water, get the extra litter pan ready and get Lewie to day-care.

Wagons, ho!

Woo-hoo! :woot:

Have a wonderful trip! It will be nice and warm for you tomorrow, but maybe a little wet and cooler for Saturday. Enjoy yourself!

Just what exactly is an Irish Wolfhound Fun Match? The term conjures up strange images of dogs and Richard Dawson.

Have fun!

Well, I suppose you just think about what would be fun for a dog?

Good luck on your journey through Chicago, Patty! (Remember to use the express lanes!)

By the way, where will you be coming from?

Mik, I live in a quiet little town in Michigan almost due east of Milwaukee. If the Lake Express ferry was running I would take it across Lake Michigan but it doesn't start running until May 1st.

FR, I'm not sure what exactly goes on but I think there is confirmation judging on Saturday and Sunday is the lure coursing. I've been told that is the "piece of resistance" of the weekend. Wolfhounds are site sight hounds and can run.

That sounds too cool. Road trips are so interesting...the ever-changing scenery, the gradual changes in vegetation and local flavors...what fun!
