A fitting tribute indeed. One skill any MGB owner needed was knowing how to bypass any of Lucas's sensor switches with a toggle.

Of course, this tread is a non-sequitur. There ARE no fans of Lucas electrics.

I heard GM were considering using them in all of their off-road models as part of the Great Recovery. Combined with the use of the PUMA, I think their future is certain.

Yes.

And it is dark. Very, very dark.

HOLY CARP!!!
I had to wait a long time for that page to load. Does Lucas make computer servers?

My Brit roadster blue a fuse once and I don't know how long I was driving before I got pulled over for no tailights. The wipers got worse and worse until they were only cleaning two vary narrow "V" shapes, then they quit working altogether. To be fair, I think it was the linkage that was at fault but when they finally jammed up, the motor burned out because it was trying to get them to go back to the "down" position. Thank goodness for Rain-X, but it was always a bit dicey getting up to about 30 mph when the wind would finally blow the rain drops off.

It's your own fault for buying a car that was designed for Britain's arid climate.

Ever drive a Mazda Miata? They are about as MGB as it gets. Noisy, ride like a truck and fun to drive. But they have this unauthentic dependability.

Top Gear drove this around their test race-track:

It costs about 30K GBP, and went round the racetrack faster than the 1 million pound Bugatti Veyron. Take that, Italy!

That's actually the girl's version since it's got a windshield.

I think you posted the wrong link. All i get is a night time satellite image of North Korea.

The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D
