Again, none of the apps mentioned (I forgot about the camera and web browser) are exclusive to iPhones, nor did Apple invent them. I have gps on my Windows mobile phone from HTC. Other than the user interface there is nothing unique about the capabilities of the iPhone. And the user interface advantage is fast disappearing. Also, as some have mentioned AT7T is not the best mobile phone service either. I would wager that Sprint has a faster data service. I turned off the wifi on my phone - seems to drain the battery much faster if it's enabled. |

The one feature on my HTC diamond that I really like is voice dialing - the ability to talk to it and have it initiate a call to someone. |

Ok, I had read your comment as saying people use GPS too much. My point was that people have various needs for using GPS and different ways of learning layouts. |

I Owe It All To John D'Oh

Here's the deal. The phone sucks up a lot of battery. Other uses, nowhere near as much. With a car charger and a home charger, I never really run too low on battery. When I'm listening to music, if the phone rings, the song stops in place ... ready to resume when the call is over. Same for other utilities. |

Oh, another thing that's really nice ... visual voicemail. Your voicemail appears as a list, with the names (or numbers) of who called, and you can pick which ones to listen to, in which order, and replay only the ones you want to listen to, one at a time. |

Hrmmm... Maybe if I have some extra money that I just have no other use for, someday, I'll buy an iPhone.

Civilisation, I vaguely realized then - and subsequent observation has confirmed the view - could not progress that way. It must have a greater guiding principle to survive. To treat it as a carcase off which each man tears as much as he can for himself, is to stand convicted a brute, fit for nothing better than a jungle existence, which is a death-struggle, leading nowhither. I did not believe that was the human destiny, for Man individually was sane and reasonable, only collectively a fool. I hope the gunner of that Hun two-seater shot him clean, bullet to heart, and that his plane, on fire, fell like a meteor through the sky he loved. Since he had to end, I hope he ended so. But, oh, the waste! The loss! - Cecil Lewis | |

Maps are crap; they've screwed me over too many times in the past for me to trust them over experience.
