ZOOOOOM!

Well, you may look back on these moments with fondness when, for example, the water heater within said house decides to explode. ![]() Seriously though, it should be well worth it once you go through with it. |

Yeah... i know... it just doesn't seem like it now lol I'm sick of getting my hopes built up then dashed. It's my own fault, i shouldn't get so attatched to the places we are viewing. And i am SOOO sick of estate agents lol. It's alot more stressful to buy a house than i ever thought it could be. x |

Over here they call them "real" estate agents. Maybe you're getting the "fake" ones?

Just wait until you have to sell one. It is made worse in the UK because of the lack of regulation involved - it's a free-market fanatics wet dream, oddly enough when so much else is highly regulated. You can make an offer, have it accepted, be half way through the process of sorting out everything, and then some gimboid comes in with a better offer, and the seller just walks away with no penalty. The same can happen with buyers making stupid bids, tying up the seller, and then just walking away on a whim. We found buying over here a lot easier, since a good real estate agent will actually help you find somewhere good. In Canada in particular, we found a guy who was a total star - he drove us around countless properties, and explained how the Canadian system worked, and found problems with a number of houses we might otherwise have considered. These people are sadly few and far between. Hang in there, MP - you'll get there - it's a buyer's market, and it's going to continue to be one for a while yet. |
