I Owe It All To John D'Oh

(mornin' Quirt) It's interesting reading that article, which keeps referring to Mr. McCartney, and Mr. Starr. It's also interesting to read the glowing comments by McCartney about the Maharishi. You know when Lennon found out that the Maharishi was hitting on Cynthia, he wrote a song about being taken for a fool: "Maharishi, Look what you've done. You've made a fool out of me." When told that he probably shouldn't do that, he changed the word Maharishi to Sexy Sadie. Many years ago, when Letterman was still on NBC, he had Ringo on the show. It was when Harrison was still alive. "So, do you ever get together with George and Paul?" "Yeh, we see each other every 6 months or so." "That must be fun." "Yeh, it used to be a lot of fun." |

Mornin', George.
I think that's straight out of the NYT style guide. |

When I saw the thread title I figured another one of them died.

Random FML: Today, I was fired by my boss in front of my coworkers. It would have been nice if I could have left the building before they started celebrating. FML The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D | |

Q: What would it take to get the Beatles together again? A: 2 more bullets. |

The one I meant had to do with how many Beatles you could fit in the front of a VW, and inlolved George, and John, and the ashtray. It's a variation on the "How many Branch Davidians can you fit in a Yugo" joke. |

Well...Lennon's son probably sings well enough to pull off his stuff. All you need is somebody to sub in for Harrison... |

And a good 'un at that...my understanding is that they had a play-off for Georges wife, and Clapton won with an out of tune guitar. |
