I dreamt that my alarm clock went off, so I got up, turned it off, went to the kitchen, fed the cats, hopped in the shower, and came to work. I noticed that the clock in the Jeep said 2:50.

I thought it was strange, but that maybe it had somehow malfunctioned, and I resolved to check it out later.

In short: I've been at work since 3:00 a.m.

It's been dark anyway, since I usually leave home around 5:45 a.m. :lol2: I wasn't particularly sleepy, either. No more than usual, anyway...

I have been up since 3:30. Just like every weekday.

Funny thing was, I didn't get to sleep until 11 p.m., but I didn't feel sleepy when I got up, so I just assumed that I was up at the correct time. :lol2:

Maybe you only dreamed you got up and went to work. You will probably wake up at the usual time when the alarm goes off.

That's funny - I've been waking up at 1:30 and not being able to get back to sleep for a couple or three hours the last two night. Maybe it's an Obama productivity plot to make us all serfs.

It's hormones, the endocrine system and messed up metabolisms, guys: the plague of middle age and the American diet and lifestyle. Read The Schwarzbein Principle. If you follow it and stick with it, I guarantee you will get results. It's written by an endocronologist and was recommended by my Ob/Gyn. I was not only able to drop 2 pounds a week eating more than I had prior to starting the "healing diet" (for a total loss of around 25 pounds which I've maintained for going on 4 years), but my immune system improved dramatically (I went from getting sick at least six times every winter to go through the last three winters not getting sick at all) and my sleep improved (I now sleep through the night, rather than waking up at 2 in the morning, unable to get back to sleep).

The Schwarzbein Principle: Degenerative diseases of aging are not genetic but acquired. Because the systems of the human body are interconnected and because one imbalance creates another imbalance, poor eating and lifestyle habits, not genetics, are the cause of degenerative disease. - Diana Schwarzbein MD

Not sure what you're talking about, Kathy.

I've always eaten healthy, and my hormone levels are just fine.

You should read the book. It's quite complex and she goes into excruciating details down to the molecular level. It's not just a matter of hormones (although that was certainly a big component in my problems), but rather the whole endocrine system (of which the hormones are an integral part), including adrenals (an oft overlooked problem and very important in one's overall health).

If I wake up in the middle of the night, I'm up for an hour or two.

And if I wake up at, let's say, 2AM one night, I'll wake up at the same time the next few nights, too. Until I'm exhausted and can sleep through it.
It would be unwise to underestimate what large groups of ill-informed people acting together can achieve. -- John D'Oh, January 14, 2010.

Occam's Razor: I dreamt that my alarm clock went off. I got up, took a shower, got dressed, and I had driven the six miles to the office before I noticed. It's not all that uncommon.

If it persists, then it's obviously something worth examining more closely. As far as I can tell, this is simply a humorous anomaly. My dreaming mind's equivalent of a late April Fools joke.

Woke up, got out of bed
Dragged a comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup
And looking up, i noticed i was late
Found my coat and grabbed my hat
Made the bus in seconds flat
Found my way upstairs and had a smoke
Somebody spoke and i went into a dream

Frank... are you sure you have cats ? I though you have a BIG BIG DOG !!

:lol2: I have two cats and The Bear, at the moment. (I had a ton of fish, an iguana, and a king snake, too. I'm trying to pare things down a bit...) LOL
