The Brobdingnagian Bards rule! And the brown haired guy is cute. If he's also brobdingnagian... heh.

http://www.thebards.net/ (Check out "Do Virgins Taste Better". "Exclamations!" is also good. As is the Jedi Drinking Song...)

Civilisation, I vaguely realized then - and subsequent observation has confirmed the view - could not progress that way. It must have a greater guiding principle to survive. To treat it as a carcase off which each man tears as much as he can for himself, is to stand convicted a brute, fit for nothing better than a jungle existence, which is a death-struggle, leading nowhither. I did not believe that was the human destiny, for Man individually was sane and reasonable, only collectively a fool.

I hope the gunner of that Hun two-seater shot him clean, bullet to heart, and that his plane, on fire, fell like a meteor through the sky he loved. Since he had to end, I hope he ended so. But, oh, the waste! The loss!

grok ... I am currently striving to grok ruby.

syzygy ... Methinks several male members of TNCR would enjoy a syzygy with Red Rice's callipygian beauty, especially during a full moon syzygy.

Troglodyte is a good word, or troglodytic.

The contraction "trog" is cool too, but a little too condescending for my taste.
As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good?

By the way, if anybody actually did use these words more often, they'd land on one of those lists of "things people say that I fukcing hate" that we see on this forum sometimes. :P

I say that to my wife several times a day - I mean it and she knows it.

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

That's a medical condition, right? I think my mother-in-laws might have that.....

Antanaclasis:

(1) One word used in two contrasting (and often comic) senses. (2) Homonymic pun.

"If you don’t look good, we don’t look good."
(Vidal Sassoon advertising slogan)

"If you aren't fired with enthusiasm, you will be fired with enthusiasm."
(Vince Lombardi)

"People on the go . . . go for Coke."
(advertisement for Coca Cola)

"And there's bars on the corners and bars on the heart."
(Tim McGraw, "Where The Green Grass Grows")

"We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately."
Benjamin Franklin

"Sorry, Charlie. StarKist doesn't want tunas with good taste — StarKist wants tunas that taste good."
