If I were to believe in a God, I would ask questions, what do you want, what do you like, how are you, when are you coming to stay for the weekend? Would you like a drink, what drink do you like? This way of human interaction has been provided to us for good reason...........whether by divine design or natural selection (which would answer for it's crudeness). Why does God appear to wish his interaction with us be so very differently than the world he has designed for us? The cryptic, disenfranchised way he seems to exist in peoples lives, it's so obtuse to say the least. |

How am I supposed to eat the communion wafer? I think it's disrespectful to chew away at it on the way back to my pew (it being the body of Christ, and all), but if I let it sit there, it sticks to the roof of my mouth for hours. Do you think of yourself as al dente, and if so, doesn't that make you a half-baked deity? (This one is for the Flying Spaghetti Monster) |

Random FML: Today, I was fired by my boss in front of my coworkers. It would have been nice if I could have left the building before they started celebrating. FML The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D

Phlebas, I have to hand it to you. Of all the qualities I have seen ascribed to God, no one has EVER used al dente.

speaking of Communion wafers.. i committed a huge sin when i was a kid. I used to have a key to the church so i could practice playing the organ. One day i saw on a table a whole sack of communion wafers.. i stole about 100 of them and during recess for a few days we all ate them.. sometimes playing communion, sometimes stuffing them in our mouths so i wouldn't get caught. of course they never suspected me - the sweet, holy, child named Mary Magdalen who went to daily Mass with her mother. |

It's funny how people get different ides about God. You seem to think He is a grumpy old man, kind of senile and sort of mean and stupid. Others think of Him as the creator of the universe who is beyond our ability to comprehend. I guess people form these ideas based on their own needs. |

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

Well, stealing was the sin Mary. If the wafers were in a bag, chances are you didn't desecrate anything. Did you ever confess? I mean besides now? |

I once stole a crate of beer from the local Catholic club. Was this better or worse than stealing the old bread? I'm sure it tasted better - however, judging by the huge number of crates left there every week, it probably wasn't missed. Those left-footers can drink! |

The claim that there are no atheists in a foxhole says absolutely nothing about the nature of God, but plenty about the nature of people. |

| As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good? | |

Why would that make it ok, acceptable? Utterly senseless.
