I think something's messed up with my inner ear. You know, the part that helps you balance. I managed about 1/3 of my workout this morning because everytime I sat up from the bench, the room spun . Now I feel kind of :puke: . There is a cold going around, my nose and ears feel a little stuffed up. I'm wondering if sudafed will help. Has this every happened to any of you? I have too much to do to lay around feeling sea sick all day long.

You may have an inner ear infection, or you may be severely dehydrated or have very low blood sugar, Jodi. Have you eaten anything, today? How much fluid have you taken in? If it persists, get someone to please take you to the ER or an Urgent Care clinic. Hope you feel better.

Anything that helps drain your sinuses should help. But seriously, if you feel you've got a cold coming on and feel a bit dizzy and :puke: like, I'd say that's your body telling you to get straight to bed and get some rest. Maybe you can nip this thing in the bud.

says me, just getting over a stupid cold that went on an on, drip by drip. :dead: I blame all the horrid little children who were off on spring break, running around infecting everyone with their horrid little kid germs.

 hope you feel better soon

Sounds like fluid in the inner ear. I have trouble with that very often. Take anything that will dry out your sinuses and ears. I like Tylenol Cold and Advil Cold and Sinus.

I started feeling this way yesterday. I was painting the wall in the office remodel, and if I moved my head just right, I lost my balance. It's a bit worse today, although now I've been sitting in front of the computer with a nice cup of hot tea for 15 minutes and I feel much better. It's definately movement related - and only when I tip my head. This really stinks.

Been there, Jodi. Take something for it and rest. Have a quiet day. Hang out with crazy people here.

Oh, wait, I said a quiet day, didn't I. :)

If she gets a fever and pain, then I agree it sounds infected and needs treatment. I used to get lots of those, too.

Now I get a fluid buildup that responds to OTC meds. It sounds just like what Jodi describes. I know quite a few women who get this, and I've wondered if women are more prone to this type of problem.

I've never been dizzy with a cold, but I've been paranoid on too much Sudafed.

I get the fluid build up in the ears during allergy season. I've also had the vertigo that Jodi describes, but only with inner ear infections, and I was given antibiotics.

Did you have fever and pain with the vertigo (with the infection)?

Jodi, I always get that when I have either cold or allergy issues. Just standing and walking around I get slightly lightheaded. My cold/allergy issues almost always end up in ear infections, so I'm sure there's some connection there.
