I thought that was called an "Irish Breakfast." Oh, that's right, an Irish breakfast is 6 Guinness, and a pack of cigarettes. |

Random FML: Today, I was fired by my boss in front of my coworkers. It would have been nice if I could have left the building before they started celebrating. FML The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D | |

Seriously, you've never heard? I've had 'em quite a few times but honestly I'm not a fan of mixed stuff. If you're going to drink, why mess around? Says I, get a bottle of three-digit proof liquor and get to pourin'.

I've been sampling a bit of 100 proof Rittenhouse Rye that I found in West Virginia. I don't mind shsing a shot with a beer, though. And every once in awhile, I enjoy a mixed drink. I developed a certain liking for Perfect Brandy Manhattans years ago in Minnesota. They help the defrosting process. Big Al |

If you have to mix it to drink it you shouldn't be drinking it in the first place. |

My hubby wants to buy some of this, but it's not sold in Minnesooooooota. I hear we might be able to buy it just across the border, in Iowa. Doesn't that sound decadent? We have to go over the border to buy it. (OK, so it's Iowa and that makes it not so decadent sounding. )

Perfect Brandy Manhattan 1/2 oz dry vermouth 1/2 oz sweet vermouth 1 oz brandy Serve in old fashioned glasses over ice. If you order one in a bar it'll come with marichino cherries on swizzle sticks, but I don't bother with cherries at home. I also customarily mix a double. Big Al |

But to do it right you have to learn how to handle those by starting in Minnesooooota as Al earlier noted. Let me know when you'll be arriving.
