Finally, I'm able to post some pics. My friggin internet at home has been down since Sunday, so I had to transfer PC files to my work computer, blah, blah. And, unfortunately, I seem to have inadvertently deleted the other video clip of a particuarly beautiful piece, the Love Offering which was the piano/violin duo. But, I do have a nice one of Sam playing solo. I can't remember anymore which piece this was. It was from the first half of the program, and I'm thinking Rabbi Meir's Dance??

Sam playing ??

This group was really great - a bunch of very talented musicians whose intonation was immaculate and were really in sync with each other. I particularly loved the violinist.

This is Sam's brother. He's a music student at Western Michigan Univ - another up and coming star in the music world, and a really sweet guy.

I am so happy to have been able to attend this. It's always wonderful meeting new piano friends, but I can say without exaggeration that this was really a highlight of those experiences. Not only was the music wonderful, and Sam's talent brimming, but the whole event was so well executed, the audience befittingly receptive and the overall atmosphere just plain gemeutlich. (Haha, I was able to pick up about half of the yiddish due to my German background). Thanks again for inviting me, Sam, and I wish you the absolute best on your continued musical sojourn.

The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. Good job, Sam! It was truly a pleasure to see you play. You really look at home in front of the piano. Give yourself a pat on the back.
