Identifying narcissists isn't difficult. Just look for the person who is constantly fishing for compliments and admiration while breaking down over even the slightest bit of criticism. We have the freedom to choose our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. | |

Nah, it's just a man thing. My hubby is much the same. If a call needs to be made, he wants me to do it for him, unless it's a conference call for his work. Don't ask me why. My dad was the same way. |

UPDATE: I just talked to Improv...AND Tom just now. They sound like they are having a good time, even though Tom insists that they are really having some kind of religious and spiritual gathering. I understand pictures were taken. |

It was freakin' awesome. Tom came over and we played for 8 hours. He's good.... real good. I'm really toasted right now, so I don't want to PUI. More later. It was a blast. |

Well, Improv was right--I should have just stopped over. But who would have thought there was REALLY a all day all night jam session in the middle of sleepy central Florida? Anyway, I had a great time--Improv, his two brothers, a nephew and a friend that was the shredder king of the universe playing a Tele. There were also people that were hanging out and dropping by and such. Everybody was really good--Improv's brothers are not only were great guitarists (actually one plays guitar the other plays bass) but they--and this is a real treat at jam sessions--know SONGS and that lets dufuses like me that don't know any songs watch their chord patterns and play along. We played all day--literally. Just an occasion break for cocktails and food (great) and Improv and I also took a break when it was "getting around that time" when plays called him and my wife called me both within five minuets of each other. (I usually tell my wife when I'm hanging out with a bunch of guys drinking beer that we're all really meditating on how we can be better husbands and fathers and changing our lives for the better--it seems plays got a bit of my standard rap when she talked to me. )Improv and his brother were really gracious hosts--it's really amazing how talented those three brothers are--it was mentioned that they might even go out on tour as sort of "Jonas Brothers" act for women "of a certain age," if you know what I mean. The nice things about guitars is that everyone can join in the jam session and just follow along. I wish I knew more songs (I'm more of a reader than a knower) but Improv and his brothers really were quite patient with me and let me follow along.I had a great time. Thanks Improv and thanks to your brother for his kind hospitality. |

Improv took some pics. Maybe a movie. Actually, Improv wanted a pic of me and him together and we were posing side by side and someone was taking the pic--and I rememberd an old "All In The Family" episode where Sammy David Jr was visiting Archie Bunker and in the last scene Sammy Davis asks for a picture with Archie and just as the picture was taken Sammy Davis turns and kisses Archie on the cheek--somewhat upsetting Archie. I did something similar with Improv (air kiss, though) and he nearly had a heart attack. We took another picture (without kisses) in a HURRY! |

Yep... pictures were taken. This computer is so old that I'm on right now, that I can't get them onto the computer to upload. So when I get home, I'll get them up, so once and for all, folks can see that TomK is just like the rest of us. Once again Tom, had a great time. My brothers really thought you are great guy and they loved your guitar playing. One funny aside, y'all should have seen Tom and me try to explain to people how we knew each other but had never actually met. The raised eyebrows were hysterical. We finally gave up and just played guitars. |
