HOLY CARP!!!
We do one of these with my students each time we see them as practice with divergent thinking and questioning. They're loads of fun, and some of the answers are hilarious. I'm especially fond of the one we're using for this session (and it's one of the easier ones we've used in a while).

The deal is that you read the situation, and you can ask yes or no questions to try to figure out the answer. Play with me!

Though he was quite a talented scientist, he became famous for his ability to make new friends.

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
Was he American?

We used to play this game in the car as kids. Dad called it Animal, Mineral and Vegetable. 'I am thinking of something and it is (one of those three) ' and we'd do yes or no questions until we guessed.

Was he alive during the 20th century?

Did an apple fall on his head, at least by popular anecdote?

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

Well done, jon!

One of my teams this week immediately asked, "Did the scientist make clones?" and then, "Did he make robots?", then "Have we likely heard his name before?" and then got it.

The other team took about 30 questions.

Here's one that is a lot more bizarre. It has a much longer answer. One of my teams actually figured it out - the other 4 teams needed many hints.

They were not related, but their friends were struck by the likeness between them.
