If you signed up for the newsleter you would have got the notice a couple days ago.

And if you didn't ignore me you could read this.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

I wrote the build quality of German Steinways was better than American Steinways, sometime this past week.

At the rate many went into conniptions, they probably had to reboot the forum...

I'm not real sure of this Kenny, but after studying the thing for an hour or two, my guess is that they're installing a new forum or something and want you to check back later.

NEW FORUMS ARE COMING!

We will soon be upgrading our Piano Forums software to a new version.
It will have a left and right column around the center content.

We polled members and they didn't want to pay any kind of subscription fee (other than a few supporters who have always been willing to help, my thanks to them).
In order to keep supporting the 8 cpu system and high-speed hosting, and continue to grow and add features, we will need to increase revenue from advertising. Hence the new design (which will also give us new features).

During the transition, the forums will be unavailable for anywhere from 5 - 10 hours as our developer imports everything into the new version and tests everything. I will send out an email warning about the shut down, and a quick follow up when the forums are open again.

Isn't it just special that a for profit website is able to get people to pay their bills for them.... yet never once mention sharing any of the profits should they come......

Sounds like a liberal's dream of a publicly owned company.

He doesn't have to. You can tell he's a liberal by the way he always runs in the opposite direction of the truth..

Haven't you noticed that a liberal can't do anything without spending other peoples' money?

Maybe not a financial return, but it sure has done a lot for his ego, and it got him invited to a lot of places that wouldn't give him the time of day otherwise.
