HOLY CARP!!!

I've never had Pilsner Urquell. They sent me a discernment coupon to try a six pack. Is it any good? I prefer ale, not really a lager fan but I don't think I've tried a pilsener. |

You got a coupon for a free six pack? Holy cow, I've never heard of such a thing. Maybe it doesn't sell well in America?? Anyways, yes it is the pilsner. Absolutely brilliant stuff. Needs to be good and cold. So the party's at your place, MS? |

Random FML: Today, I was fired by my boss in front of my coworkers. It would have been nice if I could have left the building before they started celebrating. FML The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D | |

Well I suppose free beer is free beer, so I'll try it. I got the discernment coupon via the Bon Appetit mailing list. A while back, Bon Appetit invited me to a local Grand Marnier margarita party -- all the Grand Marnier cocktails and hors d'oeuvres you wanted. I'm keeping that subscription forever. |

It's the best beer I ever tasted. It's pretty popular here in NJ. I drank lot's of it when I was in Prague. |

Yes, party here anytime! Although I have to stock up on beer, not something we usually have around, except for the occasional ale or Sam Adams. I think the discernment coupon is tied to an ad they ran in Bon Appetit. |

I like Urquell - but then I pretty much like all Czech beers. As usual, better from the bottle or as draft rather than from a can. |

My favorite but it has to be fresh. Something of an issue when it comes all the way from Czechoslovakia and doesn't sell very fast. |

I love Urquell. It's usually the only beer I drink at home (I buy the Heineken mini-kegs also). But, unlike Sue, I don't like it very cold as, for me anyway, it kills the flavor. I liked the old packaging they used better which shielded the bottles from light, which is the nemesis of fresh beer. (Now I never take the first six pack on the shelf...I always get the ones behind it where there is much less light.)
