Just put up my first ever video on youtube. An original piece for piano (Nocturne in A Major #4).

EDIT: Also just added Nocturne in A Major #3. A little note on it a couple of posts down.

Very nice jgoo! Reminds me of when I have some quiet music on as I'm going to sleep and then get a shock when it suddenly goes loud.

I like it. Sounds more like a prelude than a nocturne, though.

The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D

Thanks for the comments! As for the name, I've never been all too serious with them. I just liked the name Nocturne for it. I do have some preludes that I plan on uploading as well, though.

And I just got up the recording for Nocturne in A Major #3. Kind of going backwards here, I guess. lol. For the record, this one could be a kind of short waltz, too.

Quite lovely! I don't think the piano is out of tune so much as the placement of the microphone.

I have to get back on the keyboard. I've been slacking for about four months without a teacher. I want to find one that does at least three recitals or master classes a year.

Jgoo - very nice! I hope to compose a couple original pieces in the next couple years. Also been on my to-do list...keep them coming!

Also I am probably the least educated person here when it comes to to piano theory, history, etc.....but for some reason your work (especially piece #3) reminds me of excerpts from Schumann's Kinderszenen set.

Wow, thank you thank you for all the comments! I plan on getting some more up, just not sure how soon it will be. The first two nocturnes in the set, as well as about 3 preludes, a small etude, and another little miscellaneous piece.

I would LOVE so much to have it tuned, but alas, not enough money. First I need to get my idea patented! lol.

Anyway I'm in the process of uploading #1 and #2 right now. Will post links as soon as they are available.
