A sad day for sure. I have seen him multiple times. If you need proof of divinity he is it.

A sample...

What do you call a guy who hangs out with musicians?

A drummer. ;)
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

Heathen!

Frank! jon is making fun of drummers! :weeping:

Bruford is no mere drummer. He is a true master percussionist.

I wasn't able to listen to the link (didn't load or took forever) so I went to youtube. Yes was an early favorite of mine - discovered their music in about 1979 when they were already split up.

Anyway, loved the link. From there I went looking for Genesis, Stewart Copeland from The Police, Andy Summers from same and then into King Crimson. Spent about two hours listening to music on the internet last night.

Sorry - missed this. I'm embarrassed to say I'd never really heard of him except as part of King Crimson - so much for knowledgeable

I'll have to give it a listen - the guy can really play! British jazz was really on an upswing in the 90's when I left.

Drumming is a lot more difficult than it seems. Bill Bruford is indeed a god...

I think that depends on the drummer.

Yeah.... That's true, too. The Greats truly make it look easy. (Like so many other things.)
