Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

Even though its a transcription, I'd have to put Albéniz' Leyenda on the list.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

And how can there be nothing on that list by Steve Howe? Mood for a Day should be near the top.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

Classical Snobs.

Welcome, snob! There are those who listen to classical music, and then there are those who listen to only classical music. Yes, if you hold classical music to be superior to all other forms of music, then here (for once) you're in good company! Classical Snobs: superior music for superior taste. Our forum is never dead; at least one discussion topic with questions are posted each week (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday). We've touched upon: lesser known composers, classical music trivia, coping as a musical minority in modern society; instruments; favourite symphonies, etc. Topic parameters: 1) Please refrain from centering topics around specific CDs. 2) Our definition of "classical music" does not include jazz, contemporary or new music, easy-listening, semi-classical or hybrid forms with other styles, etc. 3) This forum is for only the snobbiest: the music you enjoy must be 95-100% classical. [Note: 1. No nitpicking; this forum is friendly, family-safe, and moderated; the Group Owners reserve the right to delete or edit any remark without notice. 2. Saw Angel Romero about 3 years ago (his hair is grey now), and was impressed with his musicality, and also with what a nice guy he is (pre-concert lecture).

About a year later, I saw Los Romeros. Wow!

(daughter #2 didn't think so. she's not a snobby as I am.)

Lots of great songs. But Ozzy Osbourne? Only one song from the Layla album?

Not having Classical Gas on that list is a terrible omission.

IT, stay OT. There's a separate thread about gas.

Interesting list. While one could argue the ordering, my opinion is most of those deserve a top 100 listing. I say most because I noticed I don't really know any of the tunes listed from the mid 90's on. I use to listen to Top 40 radio all the time, but once rap came on the scene, I punched out. Can't stand it. Mofo this... N#$%er N#$%er that... That's not music.

Mostly listen to classic rock now and hear most of these from time to time. When I *was* listening to Top 40 radio, from time to time, they would have a call in show to vote for the best rock song ever. Every year (when I listened to it), Stairway to Heaven (#8 here) and Freebird (#64 here) were always voted #1 and #2. Guess times have changed.
Identifying narcissists isn't difficult. Just look for the person who is constantly fishing for compliments
and admiration while breaking down over even the slightest bit of criticism.

We have the freedom to choose our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences.
