I can't afford as many houses as you can, Larry.

You're right, I should have chosen a different phrase. I am sorry I hurt your feelings, Quirt.

I was recalling the heartsy emoticon you once employed that scared me.
It was indeed more of a :hair: or  or  response, rather then a :X or :puke: or :dead: reaction.

I certainly hope that clarifies things and can restore our coffee times together.
 :leftarrow: sisterly hug
Uh, I'm in a committed relationship.

Emoticons aside, I'm off the market.

So you can just keep your hands to yourself, lady. :bluewink:
Uh, remember, I'm not the one who used the heartsy emoticon.

Did you know coffee is good for the memory?

My hands are no threat to you, Quirt, unless I stir real cream into your coffee. (Cholesterol) :bluewink:

Well, that was awkward.
Civilisation, I vaguely realized then - and subsequent observation has confirmed the view - could not progress that way. It must have a greater guiding principle to survive. To treat it as a carcase off which each man tears as much as he can for himself, is to stand convicted a brute, fit for nothing better than a jungle existence, which is a death-struggle, leading nowhither. I did not believe that was the human destiny, for Man individually was sane and reasonable, only collectively a fool.

I hope the gunner of that Hun two-seater shot him clean, bullet to heart, and that his plane, on fire, fell like a meteor through the sky he loved. Since he had to end, I hope he ended so. But, oh, the waste! The loss!

Yep, it sure is. Don't worry though, he's done that before, and he called me sweetheart later.

Does he ever call you sweetheart, IT? It's scary in its own way, too, given the circumstances.

I don't care what anyone says about him, I think Quirt is great fun. It wouldn't be nearly as rowdy around here without him.

IT, if you'd like coffee, I'll make another batch. We grind the beans fresh here, very fresh.

No need to worry, Brenda. I hadn't realized that it would horrify you. Now that I know that it has that effect on you, it wouldn't be gentlemanly to offend your delicate sensibilities further.

I am neither worried nor horrified. It's just fun to tease you, Quirt.

Yes, I've told you that before. See? The coffee works.

Tomorrow you get to pour. Remember, I like mine with cream and sugar. Milk will do. I'm flexible.

Sure you can....

Besides - you already have one, it's ok to let her live in that one... :D

Brings up a rather funny story, actually. I know a woman whose brother got run over by a dump truck because the guy who was supposed to be watching as the crew did the raking, got called away by the bossman. The truck didn't stop, and it run over the guy's leg, which he nearly had to have amputated. He had to sue the company to receive compensation.

Just after he won the suit and took the money and bought a house, his ol' lady divorced him, sued him, and won the house in the settlement.

The dude's got a farked-up leg, no house, and can't get a job because he sued his previous employer.

It's so sad, it's funny... :lol2:
