Two Google searches produce the same amount of CO2 as bringing water to a boil on your stovetop, according to research from Harvard University. Google claims that the Harvard study is flawed.

Here's a link to the original article that published the findings:

Here's Google's response:

I tend to side with Google. It's not their fault, we live in a very energy-intensive society. Everything we do creates a carbon footprint. Google's energy/environment track record is pretty good, so this should give us food for thought about our lifestyles, not really about how well Google's doing, trying to be environmentally friendly.
I cite irreconcilable differences.

Thanks for needlessly causing the death of a baby seal, you bastard.
The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it.

Nothing to do with anything, but my brother's original theme for his best-man speech, made a month before we emigrated to Canada, was going to be 'From night-clubbing to seal-clubbing'. His girlfriend suggested a significant re-write, possibly because she saw my own best-man speech at their wedding lurking in the distance.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?
