Seriously, though, it's awfully troubling that most of the centrist Republicans are either retiring (Voinovich) or getting a serious challenge (Spector). The idea of a moderate Republican seems to be disappearing. That sort of polarization is not good for the country.

Gerrymandering makes increased polarization inevitable. (house level anyway).
