Seem to have the momentum in the 1st quarter. I was bummed out about the Giants losing to Philly though. |

HOLY CARP!!!

I am soooo tired today. Was hoping for a 2-hour delay for the local schools. No such luck. |

Why so tired? The game was over by 7 or 8... |

In a situation like this, Mik, one has to watch all of the post-game analysis. Sheesh. Let the Pittsburgh videos begin to circulate!! |

Do you pray to Heinz Field 5 times a day?

No, no prayers for football, but last time this happened I spent beaucoup bucks on Steeler stuff on eBay. I needed vintage stuff, like what I wore as a kid. None of this $100 sweatshirts that people are into today. My stuff was handmade by a nice old lady. |

I'm originally a Bengals fan (sorry to say so!), but since I've lived in San Diego have become a Chargers fan, too. Unfortunately, yesterday's game exposed all of the big weaknesses of this team that were hidden during their 5-game winning streak. No pass rush, poor tackling in the secondary, no rushing game without Tomlinson. Even if they get Merriman, Gates, and Tomlinson back healthy in 09 they will still be a mediocre team. There was so much hype at the outset with this team having the talent to go to the Super Bowl. Even without the injuries that wouldn't have happened. I can't stand to read or listen to the "experts" analyze whether a team will or won't advance to the Super Bowl. I imagine both the Steelers and Eagles will be favored for the conference championships. I'd love to see a Ravens/Cardinals matchup. |

I'm worried about Baltimore coming to town. They are going to have a chip on their shoulder. To be honest, I would have preferred forgoing homefield to travel down to Tennessee. Then, we would have been the team with the attitude. Oh well, on the plus side, our running game is back on track, and Baltimore's D is looking a little tired. My Ward Jersey is now 2-0! |
| The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it. | |

Eagles! After all the carp that they've been through, and what with knocking off the Giants, they deserve to win big. |

Civilisation, I vaguely realized then - and subsequent observation has confirmed the view - could not progress that way. It must have a greater guiding principle to survive. To treat it as a carcase off which each man tears as much as he can for himself, is to stand convicted a brute, fit for nothing better than a jungle existence, which is a death-struggle, leading nowhither. I did not believe that was the human destiny, for Man individually was sane and reasonable, only collectively a fool. I hope the gunner of that Hun two-seater shot him clean, bullet to heart, and that his plane, on fire, fell like a meteor through the sky he loved. Since he had to end, I hope he ended so. But, oh, the waste! The loss! - Cecil Lewis | |
