HOLY CARP!!!
...literally.

I just got an email from the orphanage's (www.montanadeluz.org) Executive Director. Yesterday, someone made a donation of $15,000 - one of the largest single gifts we've ever received.

Today, she had lunch with someone who has been to the orphanage twice, and who wants to remain anonymous - but who handed her a check for

$94,000.00!

Yes. Really.

Been hearing about a lot of charities that have been having a tough time lately. It's great to hear that a least one very good one, is getting some support.

As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good?

$110K. Just curious, Dewey, how log will that kind of cash last? Don't get me wrong, please! I'm not being skeptical - quite the contrary. I'd guess that that kind of dough will go a long long way there.

Am I right?

Que FANTASTICO!!!!!

All I can think of is...gee...is it someone we know???

I made a request to our parents this year to make donations instead gifts ..I am happy to say that they have honored my wishes...but heck not nearly as much!!....

At work recently we set a quota..the boss offered an incentive...and I requested that any $$ he give me in incentive he send to MdL instead...he liked that idea..

Oh, I am so happy...and so excited...I will be leaving to visit again on Feb 4, will miss you Dewey!!....The circle is expanding as I am taking a day off from the group trip to travel to the nearby city of Danli to see our "son" Wilson who stayed with us this summer....That and to try to find the entrepenuer's I invested in with Kiva.org who also live there.....

But first I have to teach a young Honduran here to knit! She is sitting with her brother while he has treatment at Shriner's Hospital Boston.

Thank you Dewey for that first "memorable link"...I am so ever grateful.

I think I am going to cry....for joy....

Gracias para las noticias.
