A restaurant is opening up in the spot next to my work. For the past six weeks, there's been nothing but the sound of hammers, saws, drills, etc... That was aggravating enough. Yesterday, I came in and my entire store smelled like burnt wire and burnt wood. Today, when I arrived, there were horrible fumes of turpentine or some kind of varnish. They were so bad that I propped open my front and back doors, but they still set off the fire alarms for the entire building. The fire department evacuated the building for several hours, and even after they let us back in, you could still smell it. The fumes have given me the worst headache I've ever had. I don't envy you your clusters, Frank. I'm going home, poppin some tylenol, and camping out on the couch with my head on M&M's lap.
The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it.

What kind of restaurant?? We had a Texas Roadhouse open up near us a couple years ago. Around 4 or 5, when they turned the ovens on....hmmmm!

(unfortunately they closed a short while later--the new popeyes, mcdonalds, subway, china buffet, taco bell/long john silvers, subway, dunkin donuts, are still open though  )

Jeez.... Sounds like you've got the perfect remedy, though!
Anatomy Prof: "The human body has about 20 sq. meters of skin."
Me: "Man, that's a lot of lampshades!"
