We crossposted, Jack. The offer to rumble still stands though. :lol2:
Brenda, that is something i could embrace.

I have not had a chance to respond to a lot of your posts, but i am very into you being here.

I am not much of a fighter. If you want a fighter I think Larry's fake presence here would attract.

I have other qualities.

Welcome.

Embrace?! Man, that's not how I rumble. :smokin:

Jack, I hope I made you smile.

Now go to bed, buddy.

Jolly is the biggest coward here. Bar none.

Such a wimp! A little worm.

Most of us actually know each other and so when we say something it means something. Nobody hides like Jolly. Come out you coward! You have big words and there is nothing...nothing behind it but a few pixels.

Brenda, of course you made me smile.

But I have to say when it comes to women, it takes little to make me smile. I am crazy about all women.

Most of us have met each other or don't hide behind some cartoon.

Most of us could contact each other in a blink if we neeed to. You HIDE behind your avatar.

Hmmm, that's an interesting point. I hide behind my avatar. I mean, I've posted enough info about myself (first and middle name, where I work) that someone could probably figure out exactly who I am, but for various reasons I prefer to remain anonymous, which I assumed was my prerogative on this forum. Does it matter though, as long as I post something that's at least semi-relevant/interesting?

Or do my contributions mean less than those of someone who's more exposed?
Civilisation, I vaguely realized then - and subsequent observation has confirmed the view - could not progress that way. It must have a greater guiding principle to survive. To treat it as a carcase off which each man tears as much as he can for himself, is to stand convicted a brute, fit for nothing better than a jungle existence, which is a death-struggle, leading nowhither. I did not believe that was the human destiny, for Man individually was sane and reasonable, only collectively a fool.

I hope the gunner of that Hun two-seater shot him clean, bullet to heart, and that his plane, on fire, fell like a meteor through the sky he loved. Since he had to end, I hope he ended so. But, oh, the waste! The loss!

Jack's MO is to tell people he's going to "out" them. He's done it to me for years. It's sort of the "if you don't do what I want I'm telling the teacher you called Sally Smortborg a sissy"....

So let me get this straight. You left the UK (more likely you were pushed), and you're still complaining about the weather?

A two week sojourn in Manchester's rainy season (excuse the tautology) is what you need :D

They've just cancelled our holiday lunch scheduled for tomorrow due to expected 'inclement weather'. New Englanders are totally wussy. Nothing, and I really do mean nothing, would stop us having free food in Canuckistan.

John, you are now officially qualified to live in Minnesoooota. Your relocation packet will be arriving in the mail soon. Please watch for it.

If there's free food here, people just get out their four-wheel drives and GO GET IT!

And they like a little coffee to go with it.

I'll be back with mine shortly.

Oh, you and your fancy espresso machine! We just drink coffee here.

Daughter thinks hubby and I are very unhealthy because of the caffeine. Ah well, she's 14. Wait 'til she starts college!

I'll be getting myself the same 'round 11:45 today. Have you ever tried the flavored stuff, Mik? I can't say I'm a fan, but then again I don't even like coffee; I just drink it for the chemicals.
