Finally
|
(so as not to derail the "Hillary SecState" thread) Hamas claims contacts with Obama advisors are ongoing. ...prior to the US presidential elections, a secret meeting was held between senior officials from the Palestinian movement and President-elect Barack Obama's advisers in the Gaza Strip. "We were in contact with a number of Obama's aides through the Internet, and later met with some of them in Gaza, but they advised us not to reveal this information as it may influence the elections or become manipulated by [Republican candidate John] McCain's campaign", Yousuf said in an interview with London-based Arabic-language newspaper Al-Hayat, published Tuesday. According to Yousuf, Hamas' contact with Obama's advisors was ongoing, adding that he personally had friendly relations with a few of Obama's advisers whom he had met when he lived in the US. =-=-=-=-=-=-= Does that answer your question about which Palestinians, JB? |

I'm betting that the world love-fest over Obama is going to come to a screeching halt, if this kinda' crap keeps up. |

Actually, I don't think Europe is very sympathetic to Israel, and we know that most Muslim countries are not. The Obama Love Fest will continue! |

I would be very suspicious of this story. No 'advisors' were named and no proof was given. If Obama actually approved such meetings he would be skating dangerously close to treason and I don't think he's that incredibly stupid. It is possible that some idiots who represented themselves as Obama people talked with the terrorists, but official Obama people- no way. |

Oh I wouldn't be surprised at all if it were true - though I seem to recall before the election some other "leaked" report about some foreign agents in contact with the Obama campaign where they were asked to be quiet until after the election - so that in my mind makes it more suspect. As for treason? They might as well throw that charge on the dung heap - how many Dems have we seen hob-nobbing with Syrians, Hussein Iraqis and the like? No one is going to be charged with treason unless they are caught handing the ammunition. |

Obama stands about as much chance of being prosecuted for treason whatever the circumstances as Quirt does for prostitution (just to throw that out there). He would not even suffer a loss in job approval rating which stands at 64% as of right now amazingly enough. |

http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?cid=1225910089501&pagename=JPost%2FJPArticle%2FShowFull truth is that these reports barely make the news here. most people take whatever info comes from hamas with a huge grain of sodium chloride. |

Sounds like this is what Hamas is talking about, and is kind of misrepresenting. But it still does not look very good. More information: http://voices.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/05/09/obama_adviser_tied_to_hamas_me.html |

I agree. Quirt is a much better prostitute than his 64% approval rating would indicate. Not that I would know. |
