McCain to go fiercely negative; say insiders.

Mmmmmmm, pie!
I know you "enlightened" liberals just cannot tolerate Fox News or Sean Hannity - but tomorrow night at 9pm (I think) they are airing a special dealing with Obama's shady contacts.

If for nothing else you need to watch it so you can get your talking points together for Monday's thrashing...... :D

OK, for the next Presidental debates, we need McCain Bingo cards with these key words or phrases on them:

"Ayers"
"Rezko"
"(Rev.) Wright"
"George Obama"
"Barack [or] Obama" and "Muslim" within five words of one another
"Barack [or] Obama" and "terrorist" within five words of one another
.
.
.
What else? Any idea, George? Jolly? Larry?

He'll march out Abongo Obama too.

Next thing you know they'll be spreading rumors he has a black child.

It is so sad.

If only there was something positive to say about Mr. Obama.

This is so sad, what can we do?

If only there was just one thing!

But there is nothing positive about him at all, nothing!

Poor old Mr. McCain.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

I don't have time for any more homework assignments :P I'm taking six courses, five of them AP (Advanced Placement), and as it is, I only get on here about once or twice a week between practicing piano and homework. I know everyone hates unsubstantiated assertions, but I don't have any other way of saying this. I disagree with the statement that Obama's negatives have been widely disseminated. First of all, the examples you're using to argue the validity of that claim are only a small fraction of all that's out there. And I watch very little TV, but given the general ignorance of Obama's shady dealings that I find around me when I talk to people at school about politics, I think it's safe to say that even the tip-of-the-iceberg facts haven't become common knowledge to the extent that they should have. Us here at TNCR are, by and large, very well-informed relative to the rest of the American people, IMO. Maybe things are different in different parts of the country or amongst different demographics. But the level of awareness amongst the people I encounter on a daily basis is fairly low so I am going off my perception, as, I would bet, are the rest of you. That's my two cents.

I had high hopes McCain was not going to run the Rove playbook. If he plays scorched earth now, he won't be able to play the bipartisan game later.

Still time to change your vote.

I didn't see the word "negative" used once in that article.  Did you just make that up?

No, I read the first sentence of the article.

What do you think 'fiercer strategy' means - he's going to fiercely promote his healthcare plan?

Going negative is such a negative phrase, Jon. Surely you are smart enough to use less obviously biased language had you wanted to.

It also isn't what McCain promised he'd do.

Still time to change your vote.

There's another saying: "Win the battle, but lose the war."

If that one doesn't ring a bell, this one might:

“What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul?”

There's still time to change your vote.

Seriously, when this is all over, what does McCain have left of his reputation? Is there a shred of the McCain from 2000 left? He caved on almost every substantive policy difference with Bush (and the GOP generally) during the primaries. He stopped the straight talk express in July. And now he's resorting to the lowest form of campaigning, something he promised time after time he wouldn't do.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

But what you aren't going off of is specifics and your own analysis.

Taking 5 AP courses is nice, Ben. It's more than I took. But you aren't close to finishing your education.
