"Any man who would make an X rated movie should be forced to take his daughter to see it". - John Wayne

There is a line we cross when we go from "I will believe it when I see it" to "I will see it when I believe it".

Henry II: I marvel at you after all these years. Still like a democratic drawbridge: going down for everybody.

Eleanor: At my age there's not much traffic anymore.

one of the angels
"I’m not one to attribute every man — activity of man to the changes in the climate. There is something to be said also for man’s activities, but also for the cyclical temperature changes on our planet. But there are real changes going on in our climate. And I don’t want to argue about the causes, what I want to argue is, how are we going to get there to positively affect the impacts?"

You should do so well in the national spotlight.

 That's a direct quote. Classic Palin.

(Problem is, this is one of those problem that you can't fix without knowing what the causes are.)

In another thread when we were talking about the candidates misleading or false statements, it occurred to me that Palin has a certain immunity from those accusations. Almost none of her sentences are sufficiently well formed to contain anything that could be called an assertion.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

Like any beauty queen she is a glass-half-full kind of a person.

She is interested in fixing the problem, not pointing fingers.

This is exactly what we need in Washington.

Isn't she terrific?

The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

If you like your woman two-dimensional and brainless, sure, she's wonderful.

If you need a little more than that, though, you'll have to look elsewhere.

I'm sure she'd be fine for you.

I am so adjective that I verb nouns!
She is clearly neither brainless nor two dimensional. I understand you don't like her, but when you don't even given Palin her due your comments just become dismissible background noise.
The dogma lives loudly within me.

Hmmm you're right, I guess she would look 2-dimensional to a 1-dimensional guy.

She's the unbelievably popular Governor of Alaska which requires a whole bunch of dimensions. Anyone who doesn’t want to see that is certainly dimensionally challenged.

You're not particularly smart or perceptive either, so it's little wonder that you can't see her for what she is.

She is overmatched on a national stage. She doesn't have what it takes. Maybe in a state with a population density of about one person per square mile, she can skate by, but she's woefully undertalented for the Vice Presidency.

Yeah, she has charisma and a quick wit, but that's not enough.
