I don't know why he's working for some telecom company, and not writing cards for Hallmark.

The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D

What a coincidence. Yesterday my wife asked me what she should put on a birthday card. I said Happy Birthday what do you think I work for Hallmark?

Generally I write 'Happy Birthday' or if I'm feeling really creative 'Many happy returns'. If it's someone I know well I will add 'you old fart' or similar. My mother took exception to this last year.

Can you just sketch something for us, then?

Really, we're desperate for imagery.

Romance is an essential and beautiful part of a person.

Why the  ? We are made to give ourselves in intimate love relationships. For all I know, Kenny has been reading Pope John Paul 2.

Wow, the concept of dating again. There's a certain nostalgia that runs through me when I think about it. You know, of the "remember that girl back in ....." Then I look at my current situation and smile. There are real advantages to having a stable traditional family!

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:sing: Love is a many splendored thing
It's the April rose
That only grows in the early spring
Love is nature's way of giving
A reason to be living
The golden crown that makes a man a king

Once on a high and windy hill
In the morning mist
Two lovers kissed
And the world stood still
Then your fingers touched
My silent heart and taught it how to sing
Yes, true love's
A many splendored thing

I think it is in the very essence of a person to discover their deepest sense of self in the mutual reciprocity of self donation and radical openness to and acceptance of the other in an intimate relationship.

YMMV.
