O.K. thats the most offense thing I've seen on here in quite a while.
Pretty offensive to think it's alright because some of your best friends are retarded.

If you read the notes to the video I don't think the video is intended to be offensive at all. It's obviously an extremely risky thing to do, but I honestly don't think it's meant to be mean-spirited.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

Apple's obviously overworked. She's been working non-stop to remove posts by one of the members (ex-members? ), and her judgment is clouded.

Just kidding Apple, I don't think it was mean spirited at all, and I know where you are coming from.

The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D

As it started I thought it could be offensive.

Maybe it isn't.

You might notice some other RP episodes there that are offensive.
The Confederate soldier was peculiar in that he was ever ready to fight, but never ready to submit to the routine duty and discipline of the camp or the march. The soldiers were determined to be soldiers after their own notions, and do their duty, for the love of it, as they thought best. Carlton McCarthy

FWIW, I thought it was cute, and it didn't seem offensive to me, at all. Eh... Then again, I'm pretty impossible to offend, so perhaps I'm not the best judge of these things.

I appreciate your perspective, Apple. I suppose it makes people feel uncomfortable, and we have been so programmed to be "sensitive" that we cannot even find joy in the innocent child like quality of the boy. Thanks for posting it -- I doubt I ever would have seen it.

HOLY CARP!!!
I'm sure some viewers watch it with ridicule and others watch it without looking down on the actor, and just seeing him as a person.
It really depends on the viewer.

So, should people who are different like this not be allowed to become actors and comedians?
If so, why not?
Because you are too uncomfortable seeing them?
That doesn't seem cool.

I say, more power to them.
Enjoy their work and art.
I think it can lead to understanding and our becoming more comfortable with those who are different.

Hey, wouldn't it be great to see more inclusion of this group of our society on TV?

TV has helped to educate and turn around attitudes about other formerly marginalized groups too. :thumb:

After all, normal is just a number.

There was a show back in the late 80s (Life Goes On) that had an actor with Down Syndrome which was a breakthrough. Since then there have been several movies and shows that have token developmentally disabled characters and actors -- recently Notes on a Scandal.

Judi Dench was brilliantly insane, but otherwise it was a real chick flick.

(and Cate wasn't too hard on the eyes).

Rainman wasn't a bad movie, except for the fact that the Couch-Jumper ruined DeNiro's brilliant performance...

He's terrific apple!
I watched #1 and #2 as well.
He reminds me of a friend when I worked as a gas jockey. He'd bring me apples, rocks, elastic bands, whatever he felt I needed to "kick start" my day. I'd give him a Coke to kick start his.
