HOLY CARP!!!
ROTFLMAO

reminds me of the joke...

A story is told of a Jewish man who was riding on the subway reading an Arab newspaper.
A friend of his, who happened to be riding in the same subway car, noticed this strange phenomenon. Very upset, he approached the newspaper reader:
"Moshe, have you lost your mind? Why are you reading an Arab newspaper?"
Moshe replied: "I used to read the Jewish newspaper, but what did I find? Jews being persecuted, Israel being attacked, Jews disappearing through assimilation and intermarriage, Jews living in poverty."
"So I switched to the Arab newspaper. Now what do I find? Jews own all the banks, Jews control the media, Jews are all rich and powerful, Jews rule the world. The news is so much better..."

Thanks David. Can you be specific about any predictions? I appreciate that you said that we'd see inflation like never before within the next few quarters, adn we can watch for that. Anything else we can compare against tangible reality in the coming months or years? (Within a time range you specify.)
As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good?

I'm amazed he took off the tin foil hat long enough for that picture in his avatar. The Barge could have seized the opportunity to control his brain waves.

While I can't say I agree with what David is saying we should always be open to the possibility that things are not all as they seem.

There is a line we cross when we go from "I will believe it when I see it" to "I will see it when I believe it".

yep... i imagine we are in for a tumultuous time. THere are so many factors that doom us.(tho i believe that is way too harsh a word).

There are so many idiots among us.. people without a clue that buy stuff they don't need, eat stuff they shouldn't and languish in trailer parks and section 8 housing... watching tv.

We do not have a collective work ethic.

When Cheney shot Whittington in that bird hunting accident less than 10% of the shot hit Whittington. Did Whittington laugh at Cheney and say ha ha, 90% missed me? No, that 10% put him in the hospital.

It isn't potentially fatal though is it.

As I said, analogies only take you so far.

Comparing Cheney's blasting a guy in the face with a shotgun to David's miserable record of predictions just doesn't make much sense. David's record is even worse than Jolly's ... if that's possible.

There you go. Since the end of the Cold War the world has been going some very new directions, with much less of the governance that the specter of the two superpowers' spheres of interest provided. That results may be somewhat unpredictable is easy to believe. For me anyway.

certainly true, yet not connected to the drivel that appears at the beginning of the thread.

There's not going to be a revolution in America. As has been pointed out, those on the lowest rung, who traditionally make up cannon-fodder in such an undertaking, are sitting in trailer parks watching Reality TV.

The only people I see talking about revolution are the libertarians, and let's face it they're not going to organise a successful counter-government. 100,000 volunteers for the job of looking after all the weaponry and pick-up trucks, and ZERO applicants for the job of fundraising.
What do you mean "we", have you got a mouse in your pocket?

The second I hear or read this, I realize that the writer/speaker has just Godwined him/herself.

Utter crapulous nonsense. It's like a turd in a punch bowl, and it poisons everything around it, rendering it unfit for consumption. Period.
