Quirt - So when is McCain actually going to start campaigning for President?  You know, with on-message themes, plans, meaningful proposals, etc.

What does it matter?

Rasmussen has him in a virtual dead heat with Obama, and Obama has had the most favorable press I've seen a candidate have in my lifetime.

Which is most interesting...

Jolly - You may not follow the WTF discussions, but I am strongly leaning to McCain. I like divided government.

It would be nice if he started to run for President, however.

Hillary, Obama, now McCain. *I've* been following. I have a feeling your issues are 1. what you think is good for Israel and 2. what you think is good for rich New Yorkers. I'll vote based on who's going to be put the Supreme Court, but that's just me.

Your vote seems to be based on what you think is best for (1) gay people, and (2) car drivers in Hawaii.

It's not my fault we have a flawed list of candidates this year. All of the main choices had some strong points and some deep weaknesses.

I would have preferred centrist competence. Such will not be forthcoming this year.

So divided government with McCain confronting a Dem congress is the least bad choice, as far as I can see. McCain works with people across the aisle, as opposed to Obama's my-way-or-the-highway approach. It is also possible that I change my vote based on new evidence (e.g. VP pick). I am an independent voter, you know. :)

And for what it is worth, I think Obama will win a 45 state blowout, given the state of the economic cycle we are in, and typical past voting patterns, and McCain's lackluster campaign to date. . America will survive, and Obama has some strong points, but I am likely to vote for divided government.
