I'm already caught up on all of the "new" episodes. Have been for a while now. (The next few "new" ones have already aired in some parts of the world, and the internet will lead you to viewing places for them).

By "new", I presume you're clueing me in that they're planning to continue the series? Will it be with the same characters, or will they focus on a different Avatar in a different time period?

By the way, Sokka rocks!

I don't think Boomy's coming back

Mark, I had seen right up to the episode before the finale. But I have now seen the four part series finale, and it was quite an awesome way to end the show. Still, however, there were some loose ends left. We never did find out what happened to Prince Zuko's mother, for example, despite the fact that the issue was addressed only minutes before the end, just never answered. That and I also wanted to know whatever became of Azula. There are more, but those are the two biggest ones for me.

Awesome, awesome finale for an awesome show though!

So, here is the episode list for the complete run of the series. Have you seen them all?

Season One:

1: The Boy In The Iceburg
2: The Avatar Returns
3: The Southern Air Temple
4: The Warriors Of Kyoshi
5: The King Of Omashu
6: Imprisoned
7: The Spirit World (Winter Solstice Part 1)
8: Avatar Roku (Winter Solstice Part 2)

15: Bato Of The Water Tribe
16: The Deserter
17: The Northern Air Temple
18: The Waterbending Master
19: Siege Of The North, Part 1
20: Siege Of The North, Part 2

Season 2:

1: The Avatar State
2: The Cave Of Two Lovers
3: Return To Omashu
4: The Swamp
5: Avatar Day

I liked the fact that they didn't answer the question on air. Leaves a kind of Sopranoes "Anything You Want" kind of ending.

So, anyway, is there going to be a new series?

Not that I know of for sure, though the creators have hinted at it before.

I did think of another loose end I'd really like to know though: What was Iroh's journey to the spirit world that was so heavily hinted at in many episodes throughout the first season like? How and why was he there, and what did he experience?

I suppose, though I'd still like to know these things. I actually felt a lot of pity for Azula. Never thought that'd happen. Just shows what some good writing and (voice) acting can do!

HOLY CARP!!!
Great ending to a great series!

One thing has always bothered me though. Katara's ability to bloodbend made me think that no one could possibly defeat an airbender in combat; an airbender could simply vacuum the air out of anyone's lungs and render them unconscious.
Civilisation, I vaguely realized then - and subsequent observation has confirmed the view - could not progress that way. It must have a greater guiding principle to survive. To treat it as a carcase off which each man tears as much as he can for himself, is to stand convicted a brute, fit for nothing better than a jungle existence, which is a death-struggle, leading nowhither. I did not believe that was the human destiny, for Man individually was sane and reasonable, only collectively a fool.

I hope the gunner of that Hun two-seater shot him clean, bullet to heart, and that his plane, on fire, fell like a meteor through the sky he loved. Since he had to end, I hope he ended so. But, oh, the waste! The loss!

Did you know that there is a live action movie based on book (season) one in production right now? Well, actually, pre-production, according to IMDB. If it goes well, they'll also make movies based on book two and then book 3 as well.

I don't know how well this will adapt to live action, though. Probably will be disappointed, but we'll see. To add to my earlier post, I've heard rumors that Avatar's creators are going to make a new show in the Avatar world, but most likely with a different cast and in a different period of time. Still though, just rumors as far as I know.

Possibly so, but the air nomads were taught that all life is sacred, attack only to defend, and never to kill. That's why Aang had such difficulty deciding on what he should do with Ozai in the end.

Yeah, but you wouldn't be killing anyone, just rendering them unconscious.

Or you could simply blow them miles away with a 500 mph wind gust.

Just sayin'.
