![]() A friend of mine took me to an open-mic night, at a coffee house in Nashville. She introduced me to a rather bovine looking woman as, "...my friend Frank, the poet." She looked me up and down, taking in my boots, Levis, and short, spiky hair, and said, "YOU'RE a poet?!" To which I replied dryly: "Yes. 'The cat shat in my hat.' You like it? I wrote it this morning, while I was sitting on the sh!tter." She looked at me like, I went and ordered some coffee.... Hrmph... :angry:
