This weekend in Angers it is the Tour de Scene festival, with lots of free concerts around the city by many different artists. We saw three bands last night, the second one (pictured) being absolutely brilliant - not only was the music awesome ("crazy punk brass band") but they were real performers and knew how to get the audience going (hence my sore feet from all the jumping). Something I found very different to a night out in the UK was that, although many people were drinking, no one seemed to be p1ssed. It made for a nice ambience. It was raining, but no one cares. It also explains my sweaty look. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And now I'm off to the second night! |

You title a thread "Oh what a night" follow up with "Aching all over", then tell us you've posted pictures, and all we get is some photos of a concert? I went from to <_< !

Hehehe These photos are way cool if I say so myself. Last night was really good too - there were concerts in a couple of squares but we went to an Irish pub where there was a fantastic gitane-southern Spain band, later joined by a clarinetist and violinist, who were both amazing.
