Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

Oh. WTF is that family's problem with noses? How can they think that the way they look now, is somehow attractive? F'ck me, if it rained, she'd DROWN!! That plastic surgeon should have his license to practice revoked.

The only one I recognize is Barry Manilow.

Rachel did a print ad with him a few years back, she said there was so much retouching needed they might as well have started with a blank screen.
In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

Holy crap... That's Barry Manilow? What happened to his nose?

And is that last one Melanie Griffith? :weeping:

Something about those perfect/artificial teeth are frightening, too.

I guess when your happiness peaks at being adored for by the public for your physical attractiveness, you might be desparate to chase that.

Lucky for me the public has largely left me alone.

I don't know what happened to aging gracefully, but it's certainly a preferrable alternative to the attempt to hang on to glory days and instead wind up looking like Linda Evans, Farrah Fawcett or Priscilla Presley!

Tina Turner is still teh hawt... Rowwwwrrrrr... Cher has had some work done, but she still looks great. Mick Jagger has had some work done, and he looks pretty good.

Kenny Rogers looks like a wax manikin.. He really looks awful. He and Burt Reynolds are tied for "most artificial and odd looking."

I agree with Quirt, I don't think Kenny looks to bad.
The problem with having an open mind is that people keep trying to put things in it.

Except he's starting to look like Donald Sutherland.

Though I think it's somewhat churlish to mock celebrities for getting older, it's hard not to be shocked by Melanie Griffith.
Civilisation, I vaguely realized then - and subsequent observation has confirmed the view - could not progress that way. It must have a greater guiding principle to survive. To treat it as a carcase off which each man tears as much as he can for himself, is to stand convicted a brute, fit for nothing better than a jungle existence, which is a death-struggle, leading nowhither. I did not believe that was the human destiny, for Man individually was sane and reasonable, only collectively a fool.

I hope the gunner of that Hun two-seater shot him clean, bullet to heart, and that his plane, on fire, fell like a meteor through the sky he loved. Since he had to end, I hope he ended so. But, oh, the waste! The loss!

It's not a question of looking older. Hell, I've had a grey beard for 10 years (which pizzes Mrs. George off, I may add). The problem is the extreme unnaturalness of the celebs trying to AVOID looking their age - usually with bizarre results.

You're right, of course, George.

Melanie Griffith is shocking, I think, not because she looks freakish (unlike the others, who do) but because every picture the public has seen of her has likely been touched up and airbrushed, so no one knew that she was aging. I think she looks wonderful, but am shocked that she has aged. I think she has kept this hidden somehow.

Look at their accomplishments, look at their body of work, the joy, entertainment, and even inspiration they have brought to countless millions, I'd say they have spent their youth well, and hence, aged meaningfully and fulfillingly. :)
