Silly man. He looks like he doesn't have any blood in him. Weird.
Death is simply a shedding of the physical body like the butterfly shedding its cocoon. It is a transition to a higher state of consciousness where you continue to perceive, to understand, to laugh, and to be able to grow.

The javelin was thrown by Anthony Miles, a Provo High School student who said when he saw what had happened, "my heart just stopped."

Miles went on to win the state title in javelin accuracy for teams in Provo High's size classification, 4-A.

Most impalement injuries don't bleed a lot, until the object is removed. The object itself, acts as pressure upon the severed vessels. That's why, if you encounter someone with an impalement injury, you stabilize the object, then cut off as much of the object as you can on either side of the wound, and then transport to a medical facility. Removing the object can have disastrous consequences, in spite of the natural instinct to immediately pull it out.

I could have told her it would all end in tears...

He is not the only one focused on the important things:

I wonder if it would have helped. From all accounts, he was speared in the heart, but if he handn't yanked the barb out, he might have stood better odds of surviving. :(

"Javelin."
"What?"
"Javelin."

The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D
