Read more about it here: Parkway Destination Center

If I ever chose to move after retirement, this is a part of the world I'd strongly consider (even if Larry was my neighbor. ).

If you want trouble, find yourself a redhead
I love the parkway. I used to fly into Roanoke, and if I was not in a hurry I'd take the parkway over to Lynchburg. It was a little longer, about 20 minutes, but oh what fun. During the week there is no traffic at all up there and you could really toss a rented Nissan Maxima around through the curves.

I used to have to spend a week every year with my first set of in-laws in Arlington, VA. I got up early every AM and headed out for the Parkway with camera in hand.

Long days trips but well worth it.

Ah these are the things I so enjoy with my move. I don't get up there often enough but sure have enjoyed the few drives I've had along there since moving east. Absolutely gorgeous and yes Jack post your pictures!!

The photos to which i refer were taken in the late 1970's. I have no idea where they are, if they still are. I am sure I have the negatives somewhere...a former life.
