HOLY CARP!!!
I'm one of those people who has to have coffee first thing. I have a coffee pot with a timer, so my coffee is ready the instant I wake up.

I woke up about 10 minutes early today and when there was no coffee in the pot, so I pushed a few buttons trying to get it to start. When I didn't immediately receive my coffee, I assumed I forgot to pour the water in. So I poured water in.

To make a long story short, I had a small waterfall on my kitchen counter and some exceptionally weak coffee. I've been trying to drink double the amount to get my caffeine fix.

Okay, but this made me laugh harder than I have in a long time.

I found it while doing some research online.

Priceless.

:(

I can wake up, shower, get dressed, leave my apartment, take the metro and get into work, and still be half asleep until I've had coffee.

I would very much like to kick the habit but when you get about 5 hours of sleep a night it's hard to have nothing to compensate.

I bit the bullet and brewed another pot.

Still, not a good omen for the day.

Yep. As morning coffee goes, so goes the day.

OMG I feel sorry for her husband.

What a basket case!

Oh, yeah and I'm a worthless blob without my morning coffee.
Jose knows better than to even talk to me before I have my fix.

Well you're right, and to tell you the truth, I don't even like coffee. I don't like the taste and it's not an enjoyable experience to drink it.

But THIS little guy here, Mr. C8-H10-N4-O2, makes the nastiness of coffee more than worth it.

Synapse enhancers FTW!!!11

Go for a run. It's gives you better endorfines to help you throughout the day, and it is better for you.

Alternatively try amphetemines. They don't make your breath smell like coffee does.

Yeah, not much for it myself. But when I do run, the difference in how I feel for the rest of the day is amazing. I have so much energy for the rest of the day, and it helps to balance my emotions also.

Any way their coffee is not real coffee. It is some tepid decaf concoction, slightly coloured.... Kind of the brew they make in the UK. I suspect they make it from tea.

In Wyoming I call the coffee "stained water" because that's about all it tastes like. I am drinking my french press coffee and it is damn good. Thed only problem is that I fee like I've been run over by a truck...really tough night for Mr. and Mrs. Freerider.

Now I'm Mr. Mom while my wife is at work. I've been playing some Bach (Invention #13 Am) and some Beethoven (Sonata Pathetique...Movement 1) I can barely focus. The cool thing is that now when I play I have little Zack in a Baby Bjorn and I can't see my fingers or the keys very well, so I am playing much more by feel than ever before...I like it even though it's a pain sometimes.

Jose doesn't drink it but I used to be a an extreme coffee connoisseur.

It had to be super fresh so I'd never buy more than 1/4 lb.
It had to stay in the freezer.
It had to be whole beans that I'd grind myself.
It had to be ground right before I used it.
It had to be made one cup at a time in a one-cup over-the-cup drip filter.
The filters had to be those brown non-bleached ones
I had to have fresh real half and half

Now I just used freeze dried coffee from Costco with Coffemate.

We have a coffee maker for when guests come over but when they leave I give them to coffee to take home because it will go to waste if it stays here.

Very, very good for you. My friend, from RMMP, prof. Greg Presley, often recommended to play by feel. With his students he uses a large carton board to "cover" the keyboard or a large piece of cloth. He also gave tips about how to found one's way on the keyboard by feeling it and, for the large jumps practice he described the "fast move to the next position, hover, press" method - very effective indeed.

I make "mud black coffee" - turkish style coffe - not filtered and I also have a, now broken, espresso machine. Of course I have filter machines, macchiato and french-press, but I don't use them often. All my guests ask for Lavazza espresso.

Recently I heard from a coffe expert that he recommends not to store the ground coffe in the refrigerator. Go figure....

And I hate the coffee with "tastes" (french vanil and other atrocities). When I was in the US and tried to buy pure coffee it was very difficult. Most of the pre-packed coffee was with "flavours".
