sigh

Kenny, I'm very sorry to hear about what your father did to your sister.

As to the story, we have plenty of sick monsters in our own country we need to be doing something about.

What is it about sex? Why did this guy have to lock up his own daughter for sex? Why was Denise murdered for sex? This has nothing to do with homosexuality. These men are straight. They are selfish, narcissistic psychopaths.

Homosexuality is more relevant than, say, polygamy, because there is a quite significant number of people who want to have homosexual relations in our societies.

Are you trying to say that acceptance of sexual behavior in society is dependent upon the numbers of practitioners of a certain type of sexual act?

No, not acceptance, but - as my post clearly said - relevancy. It is a waste of time to argue about sexual intercourse with snowmen if nobody does it.

Acceptance should only be based on whether anyone is harmed.

The only reason nobody does is that it won't stay hard.

My position is simple: you jumped to an unwarranted conclusion and slung mud on an issue where none was deserved. Quirt 03/08/09

So you're discovering that the Danes have some peculiar winter sports?

Yes, but it doesn't involve sex.

Mr Fritzl has admitted to disposing of the body of the newborn in an incinerator shortly after the birth.
His lawyer, Rudolf Mayer, has told the BBC his client will undergo a series of psychiatric and psychological tests.
He says the tests will be crucial in determining the extent of Mr Fritzl's guilt and his penalty.
"This case certainly requires a thorough psychiatric and psychological examination. We need to establish if he can be considered responsible for his actions," Mr Mayer told BBC News.

I hope not.

Our guy (Michael King) literally wants his head examined. He's requested a PET scan. He insists he suffered a head injury.

I don't understand an insanity defense in either case. Doesn't one HAVE to be sick in order to lock up their daughter for 20 odd years? Doesn't one HAVE to be sick in order to abduct, rape and murder a perfect stranger?

And I'm told this isn't about sex, it's about control. What they can't control themselves, so they have to control someone else?

As I said before these are selfish, narcissistic psychopaths. They don't care about other people.

And IMJaundicedO, the death penalty is too good for them. I think they should suffer. And suffer in the way their victims suffered. They should be tortured, humiliated, terrorized etc........

I wish I didn't feel that way.

And for what it's worth, the crime here isn't incest, it's the fact that he kept his daughter and grandchildren/children prisoners. That's torture, rape and abuse and all kinds of sick things. I'd charge him with murder too against his grandchild/child.

How do we know whether or not he didn't do his grandchildren/children? He probably did them too. Why not in his mind?

Well, I do know that insanity is a legal term, not a clinical one. It's a term lawyers use, not so much doctors.

My understanding of insanity -- hey Quirt et al, might need some help here -- is that it defines a state of mind in which you cannot be held responsible for your own actions.

You can be batsh!t crazy and do these horrible things (I think that's the only way one can do these horrible things), but as long as you knew what you were doing, the insanity plea won't hold up.

It's also my understanding that the insanity plea wins very few cases.
I cite irreconcilable differences.

I think the insanity defense is when they were so sick that they weren't able to distinquish between right and wrong, they didn't know what they did was wrong. I dunno. I mean, would a crazy person be able to go through the lengths Fritzl went through to hide what he did? I mean, he kept her locked up for 24 years, raped her and got her knocked up, and burned the corpse of the twin that died. He wasn't delusional by the sounds of it.

I do still think he (as well as Michael King) is a sick fvck, but not in the legal sense of the word. I'd like to see both Fritzl and King strung up by their balls. :veryangry:

Precisely.

If he was so crazy that he didn't know it was wrong, he wouldn't have gone through the lengths he did to keep it hidden.
