I was prepared with a foot cramp in case things went poorly. The reason for this is that I actually got a few while practicing, so I felt well-studied on this malady. Also, it's so random that no one would suspect that I could make it up, and it's somewhat unique, so no one would relate to it, and maybe give me more sympathy.

The woman who went before me, though, has cystic fibrosis. She pulled up an oxygen tank with her, and played a Chopin nocturne beautifully. Heartbreaking.

Kind of made me feel ashamed for my foot cramp idea.

:(

Yes, that would be a tough act to follow. (You said she played wonderfully though, right?)
I cite irreconcilable differences.

Yes. She is is a beautiful woman with an obvious passion for music. I've heard her in Masters' class before, and she absolutely amazes me. I think she is often in pain. It's a privilege to hear her.

Congrats! Glad it went well.

The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D

That's why you need to go with the seizure idea next time. :P
Civilisation, I vaguely realized then - and subsequent observation has confirmed the view - could not progress that way. It must have a greater guiding principle to survive. To treat it as a carcase off which each man tears as much as he can for himself, is to stand convicted a brute, fit for nothing better than a jungle existence, which is a death-struggle, leading nowhither. I did not believe that was the human destiny, for Man individually was sane and reasonable, only collectively a fool.

I hope the gunner of that Hun two-seater shot him clean, bullet to heart, and that his plane, on fire, fell like a meteor through the sky he loved. Since he had to end, I hope he ended so. But, oh, the waste! The loss!

I dreamt the night b/f the performance that the piano keys were all wrapped in Saran wrap, I played with the wrap on (not easy, you know). Everyone laughted at me afterwards for not knowing to first peel the wrap back.

Odd stuff.

What a coincidence. I had a dream last night that you were all wrapped in Saran wrap. Everyone laughted at me afterwards for not knowing to first peel the wrap back.

flawless is an adjective I will NEVER hear with regard to piano...congratulations. If I heard "flawless" I might have to stop so as not to screw up my only shot at that!

If you don't hear that fresh vacuum packed 'pop' when you unseal your keyboard, the piano has been tampered with and should be returned for a full refund!!
As a good person, I implore you to do as I, a good person, do. Be good. Do NOT be bad. If you see bad, end bad. End it in yourself, and end it in others. By any means necessary, the good must conquer the bad. Good people know this. Do you know this? Are you good?

Funny stuff. [must be introverts]

Deb, the Saran wrap actually helps with the flaws.
