Mmmmmmm, pie!

I don't know why I'm writing this, I guess I just need to see it written out. When I left Atlanta and came back to my farm, I thought I was coming home to die. I didn't, as you may know..... Anyway, my intent was to slow down from the rat race, and enjoy life a bit. I have a tendency to overdo it in the drive and ambition area.... instead of slowing down, I soon jumped right back into things, buying businesses, expanding them, etc. Instead of slowing down, I'm going harder than ever.I'm tired. I won't go into the details of it, I'll just say that our government and the tax system that burdens us has finally stepped on my last nerve. An example - in the last month I have received literally 200 pieces of mail from one agency alone. They lost my payment, threatened to seize my property if I didn't pay it again, lost the copy of the canceled check I sent them..... all over 132.00. I have stacks of paper from one end of my office to the other, not a damned bit of it amounting to squat, all demanding I spend hours upon hours upon hours filling out forms. I'm tired of the government running my life and my business. I cannot justify the wear and tear on myself dealing with all the obstacles our government throws in the way of business any longer. I am tired of writing check after check after check feeding that giant hole that sucks us dry. Unless I change my mind, over the next few weeks I will begin divesting myself of all this mess. I could sell them, but I don't even care enough any more to keep running them long enough to do that. I just want out. My plan is to finally do what I've really wanted to do for a long time - I'm going to buy a boat, I'm going to take it out into the middle of the lake, I'm going to drop the anchor, and I'm going to hang a sign on all 4 sides of it that say "Stay away! If you come near me I will shoot you." Maybe I'll buy me one of those little Phillipino girls....... ![]() |

Oh - and a lesson in economics to the liberals.... This is what happens when you tax the boss too much. He stops employing people. Those people then can't make their house payments, buy groceries, pay their bills, unless and until they find another job. The public loses the benefit of the stores to supply their wants and needs. I on the other hand, will simply lower my overhead. Now - who got hurt by taxes? |

Why don't you ask Ori for big boat recommendations? With Internet connection on board. So you can post BWUAHAHAHAs from time to time.... P.S. What Philipino girls ? Those that actually are not girls ? Pervert ! |

Random FML: Today, I was fired by my boss in front of my coworkers. It would have been nice if I could have left the building before they started celebrating. FML The founding of the bulk of the world's nation states post 1914 is based on self-defined nationalisms. The bulk of those national movements involve territory that was ethnically mixed. The foundation of many of those nation states involved population movements in the aftermath. When the only one that is repeatedly held up as unjust and unjustifiable is the Zionist project, the term anti-semitism may very well be appropriate. - P*D | |

Mr. Galt, Mr. Galt, paging Mr. John Galt... If you've got the means, you should shuck off the unecessary hassles and enjoy yourself, Larry. Life this side of eternity is incredibly short. To constantly involve one's self in fabricated tension only causes us all to have a filtered or distorted understanding of the really important things in life, or makes us miss them entirely. |

Are you saying that because I'm sick of taxes and governmental interference in my life that I'm "blaming others for preventing" my own happiness? Man, that's a goofy viewpoint. It's precisely *because* I take responsibility for my own happiness that I've decided to opt out of having my life dictated by a system that rewards laziness and penalizes the productive. |

Dood - you are old enough and fortunate enough to be able to sell most of what you have, businesses, property, etc....and just go live and be happy. Travel. Buy an exotic place. Just go chill man.... Shoot, I'm doing that as soon as it's possible to me. I have zero interest in working the rest of my life. As soon as it's financially possible, I am going to stop working all together....and start living. |
