Do wet cats shake themselves like dogs do, waiting until just the moment when you're parallel with them to maximise the hairy soaking?
Death is simply a shedding of the physical body like the butterfly shedding its cocoon. It is a transition to a higher state of consciousness where you continue to perceive, to understand, to laugh, and to be able to grow.

I have two cats. The only time I'd bother bathing them, is if they got sprayed by a skunk. Otherwise, why bathe a cat? They groom themselves and they groom each other.

Bear, on the other hand, gets his big azz tossed in the shower every Sunday. Good grief... HIS idea of a bath, is to find a great big muddy, swampy area in the backyard, and roll around in it, while emitting growls of rapture, until what was once a white fluffy beautiful dog becomes a reddish-brown mongrel.

Nothing is as effective as homeopathy.

I'd rather listen to an hour of Abba than an hour of The Beatles.

It's a very good question!

Yes, they shake just like dogs do.

Kenny, my cat tolerates it and I don't do it until she has a lot of dust and chemicals in her hair or unless she steps in 'it'. She's still a kitten and sometimes this happens. They can't scratch you if you do it right.
