HOLY CARP!!!
Rainman, I felt something similar. A terse "Bye" to this forum did not make sense to me. I sent a PM. It was not returned.

And then the criticisms of this forum on Larry's forum when Larry was part of the atmosphere here that was being criticized.

The whole episode gave me a negative feeling, but then again, it's an internet forum- people can come and go as they choose.

I think Kenny's OK, it's nice of him to carry an olive branch to Dewey.

As for Dewey. . . I must confess that when he ran off, I felt like several of us ended up fighting for him, while he ran off to the choir room to hide.

And I have not spoken to him since. Oh well, my problem I guess.

Rainman, it was personal, ok? It wasn't a forum issue.

I wasn't "hiding in the choir room." I will not explain my decision any further. If anyone thinks that it's my nature to run from a dispute, they never knew me very well to begin with.

PMs weren't answered because I didn't log back on here until Peggy's tragedy.

I'm not going to rehash, dissect, or retract what I wrote at Fat Shirley's, or in the opening ReadMeFirst of Dewey's Place. Anyone is welcome to read them, but I will not discuss them further. To give people any more explanation of my actions would only reopen a very deep wound that has, at least for me, healed over. It would also likely add to the negativity and pettiness that had come to rule, rather than just being an insignificant undercurrent of, TNCR. I won't do that.

If anyone thinks that my leaving was easy, or spur-of-the-moment, you're wrong on both counts.

You're all free to form your opinions, good or bad, about me or my reasons for leaving - or why and when I returned - based on the balance of what you know of me from my history of posts. But I won't discuss the issue any more.
